Building a carbon or regenerative agriculture program?

Check where your program can work before you enrol farmers.

Our proposed tool would check which fields meet your program’s rules, whether your payments can be combined with existing support, and whether the offer makes financial sense for farmers.

Whether your program aims to generate carbon credits or reduce supply-chain emissions, participation has to work for both your business and the farmer.

US concept. No US product, pilot or partnership yet.

Different programs. The same rule problem.

In Germany, GAP-Optimizer already checks agricultural measures against eligibility rules and payment-combination restrictions. Every result is linked to the rule version and source behind it.

We want to apply that technology to your program: check your requirements against field data and existing enrolments, then use payment and farm-cost data to assess whether participation makes financial sense.

Your team could assess potential participants on a consistent basis and retain a documented explanation for each decision.

Three questions for every field.

Eligible?
Does the field meet your program’s rules?
Stackable?
Can your payment be combined with the public and private payments the field already receives? Permitted payments are counted once.
Pays?
Do the permitted payments cover the farmer’s costs? Unknown costs stay unknown.

Inputs: your program rules and payment, field data with existing public and private enrolments, and farm costs.

Participation decisions you can explain.

Each decision keeps its rule version and source. A reviewer reads the record instead of rebuilding it. Our hypothesis is that this could reduce administrative review effort. That is not yet proven.

What this is, and is not.

The US application is planned. US program rules still have to be captured, and cost data has to be suitable and available. German funding rules are not carried over. A participation check does not replace measurement, verification or certification, and it guarantees no certification, additionality, credits, revenue or emission reductions. This is not a credit marketplace and has no affiliation with USDA.

Let’s test this against your program.

Tell us where it would work, and where it would not.
